A support group for anyone who is caring for someone with Alzheimer’s or dementia or who has a family member or friend with the disease is held on the third Thursday of each month in the conference room at Community Hospital-Fairfax from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
The support group is facilitated by Brenda Gregg from the Heart of American Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. The Alzheimer’s support group connects people who care for loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia. It’s a safe, confidential place to share struggles and frustrations and receive information and encouragement.
The next meeting of the Alzheimer’s support group is May 17, 2018. An RSVP is not required, but anyone with questions or who would like to receive meeting reminders may reach out to Gale Ball at 660-686-2339.
A monthly Alzheimer’s educational series will be hosted by Community Hospital-Fairfax beginning July 11. More details will be shared in local papers as this date approaches.
