The Rock Port R-II fourth, fifth and sixth grade spring concert was held May 10, 2018. Students, directed by Mrs. Lynn Hunter, presented “The Wonderful World of Disney.”
The fourth grade performed songs from “Beauty and the Beast.” Camden McEnaney was a soloist during “Belle,” and Daytona Paris had a speaking part during “Be Our Guest.” The class also sang “Something There,” “The Mob Song,” and “Tale as Old as Time.”
The sixth grade class sang selections from “Moana.” Reagan Walker was a soloist during “How Far I’ll Go,” and Bannack Skillin was a soloist during “Shiny.” Other songs performed were “We Know the Way,” and “Where You Are,” with vocalists Paycee Slusher, Reagan Walker, Rylee Jenkins, Abby Mininio, and Alyssa Youngs.
The fifth grade sang songs from “Lion King,” including “Circle of Life,” “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King,” and “Be Prepared.” Aricin Weber and Bracton Cook were soloists during “Hakuna Matata.” The program closed with Hadleigh Jones, Claire Spiegel, Avery Meyerkorth, Arianna Shimmel, Jaylynn Garst, Jayme McEnaney, Jakobie Hays, Stevie Pritt, Lily Pankau, Cali Driskell, Makaila Pruett, Brady Cox, and Malachi Skillen singing “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?”
