Rock Port’s Main Street has a new business thanks to Tropical Sno, located at 420 Main Street. Tropical Sno serves shaved ice treats that come in over 40 flavors with hundreds of flavor combinations.
Chris and Amy Shimmel are excited to bring this business to Rock Port and hope to not only provide citizens with a cool summer treat, but also create job opportunities for locals.
Tropical Sno opens Monday, May 21 at 12:00 p.m. just in time to celebrate the last day of school.
Their regular summer hours are Monday thru Sunday, 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
The Rock Port Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting celebration on Monday, May 21 at 11:00  a.m.
Enjoy traditional flavors like blue raspberry and pina colada, or add vanilla ice cream for a “Hawaiian Style” Tropical Sno. Flavor combos are endless and come with fun names like the “Leanne Limes” and “Jailhouse Rock.”
Tropical Sno is a popular treat and has locations in all 50 states and in 30 countries worldwide. The Shimmels have plans to open more Tropical Sno locations. Their second location will open in Auburn, Nebraska in June.
