Battle of the Books would not be possible without the many volunteers. The librarians at each of our county schools go above and beyond to get the children coordinated for this county wide event, read the books and help with questions. It takes many volunteers to read the books and make questions prior to the day and then the day of the battle it takes approximately 15 volunteers to make it happen. Reading leads to the success of many children and we are all happy to be a part of this successful event that is growing still today! The sponsors of Battle of the Books are Atchison County Development Corporation, Mule Barn Theatre Guild, the Flower Mill, the Tarkio Resource Center, and the Atchison County Branch Libraries.
