Charles Howard “Chuck” Loucks, 64, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 in Doniphan County, Kansas.
He was born November 4, 1953, one of three children of Lt. Col. (Ret.) Joseph S. and Jo Ann (Duncan) Loucks.
Chuck graduated from high school in Fairborn, Ohio. He attended Miami of Ohio University and the Coast Guard Academy. Chuck received his MBA from Northwest Missouri State University.
Chuck worked as a nursing home administrator for many years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and had been attending the River of Hope Fellowship Church.
Chuck married Teresa Burnsides, and they became parents of three children: Eryn, Jonah and Courtney. They later divorced.
On August 21, 1993, Chuck married Jackie (Arnold) Henderson in Tarkio. They moved to Mound City, Missouri, in 2017.
Preceding him in death was his father. Survivors include his wife, Jackie, of their Mound City home; mother, Jo Ann Loucks of Mound City; son, Jonah Loucks of Maryville, Missouri; daughters, Eryn (Tony) Stepp of Tarkio, Missouri, and Courtney (Michael) Howell of Oregon, Missouri; sister, Cynthia (Jeff) Stevens of Murphy, North Carolina; brother, Michael (Lisa) Loucks of Mound City; and stepchildren, Ted Henderson, Jim (Nancy) Henderson and Jennifer Henderson, all of Papillion, Nebraska. Together Chuck and Jackie shared 15 grandchildren, Nichele, Colton and Coy Loucks, Ian, Macy and Asher Stepp, and Leah, Mattie, Seth and Billie Grace Howell, Taylor and Cameron Henderson, Alex (Alexis) Zook, Clarissa (Casey) Swanson, and A.J. Qvern; and three great-grandchildren, Blaine Henderson, Isabella Zook and Carson Swanson. Other survivors include former daughter-in-law, Patricia Qvern; and aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.
Family visitation will be held Wednesday, May 30, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m., River of Hope Fellowship Church, Mound City. Services will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at 10:30 a.m., River of Hope Fellowship Church. Interment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute Transplant Program. Services entrusted to Chamberlain Funeral Homes.
