The 5th Annual Doug Summa Memorial Park 5K Run/Walk and Kids’ 1/2 Mile will be held Saturday, June 23, 2018. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with the start and end of the race being at the Community Building in Tarkio. Bring your friends, family, co-workers, and enjoy the event. All proceeds go to the City of Tarkio for improvements and maintenance of the Doug Summa Memorial Park.
Pre-register online by going to the Facebook page 5th Annual Doug Summa Memorial Park 5K FUN Run/walk, where there is a link for online payments, or pick up a registration form at Tarkio City Hall. You may also sign up the day of the event.
The Kids’ 1/2 Mile race for children under 12 years of age will begin at 9 a.m. The cost is $15 per child. The 5K Fun Run/Walk will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the cost is $20 for team members and $25 for individuals. Awards will be given out immediately after the winners are determined: Overall Male and Female; Age group winners with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes); and participatory ribbons for all children under three years of age who walk, run, get carried, or pushed in strollers.
