The Tarkio College Alumni Association is preparing for this year’s “Homecoming” Weekend for alumni June 22-24 in Tarkio. TCAA now owns the Tarkio College campus and is excited to invite alumni to view the progress made to Thompson Hall in their quest to open the college up for classes. The group is also seeking to raise funds to put a new roof on Rankin Hall, so proceeds earned during the Homecoming Weekend’s fundraising events will go toward this. This year’s honored classes include 1948, 1953, 1958, 1963, 1968, 1973, 1978, 1983, and 1988.
TCAA has a lot of fun-filled events planned. You do not have to be an alum to participate in these events. Be sure to visit the campus and events and help celebrate Tarkio College’s history and new future:
Friday, June 22
10:30 a.m. – Golf Tournament at the Tarkio Golf Course ($20* carts not included)
3 p.m. – Board Meeting at Thompson Library
7 p.m. – Meet and Greet at Thompson Library
SATURDAY, JUNE 23
7-10 a.m. – Breakfast at the Tarkio Nutrition Center (free will offering)
9:30 a.m. – Doug Summa Memorial Park 5K Run/Walk at the Tarkio Community Building ($15 for children under 12 and $25 for adult individuals)
9:30 a.m. – Drama rehearsal at Rankin Hall
12 noon – Lunch at Thompson Library ($20*)
2 p.m. – Murder Mystery at Rankin Hall (Free will offering)
6:30 p.m. – Dinner at Thompson Library ($25*)
8 p.m. – Alumni Honors/Meeting of the Corporation at Rankin Hall
9 p.m. – Fireworks on Rankin Hall’s lawn
SUNDAY, JUNE 24
9:30 a.m. – Choir rehearsal at the Tarkio Presbyterian Church (700 Maple St.)
10:45 a.m. – Church service at the Tarkio Presbyterian Church (700 Maple St.)
12 noon – Lunch ($20*)
