Kelly Dougherty earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Missouri-Columbia during their Spring 2018 Commencement exercises. Dougherty graduated Magna Cum Laude with a minor in Psychology and a Multicultural Certificate.
Throughout her four years at Mizzou, Kelly was active in Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity, Mizzou Alternative Breaks, and Griffiths Leadership Society. Kelly served as an Ambassador for Missouri Student Unions and a Resident Assistant for Missouri Scholars Academy.
She was also selectected to join the Alumni Association Student Board, Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, and Mortar Board, one of Mizzou’s six Tap Day Societies. During Kelly’s senior year, she was named a Queen candidate for the University of Missouri’s 106th Homecoming.
Kelly is a 2014 graduate of Craig High School. She is the daughter of John Dougherty and Nancy Johnson. She is the granddaughter of Dan and Janice Dougherty and Betty and the late DeWayne Johnson. Kelly will continue her education at the University of Missouri School of Medicine in July 2018.
