The Mayhew Cabin will host its annual Juneteenth event on Saturday, June 23, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be living history demonstrations and various activities throughout the day. At 1 p.m. Dr. Tom King will do a first person presentation as President U.S. Grant, major funding provided Humanities Nebraska for this program. There is no admission cost for the day, but donations are always appreciated. All programs and activities will be at the museum grounds located at 2012 4th Corso, Nebraska City, NE 68410.
