The Piecemakers Quilt Guild met June 5, 2018, at Community Hospital-Fairfax at 6 p.m. Because of the hot weather we decided to have a potluck meal with  air conditioning instead of a picnic at the park.
Bev opened the meeting and the roll call was answered with each member telling what their favorite picnic food is and a recipe (if they remembered to bring it)
We had election of officers with all officers agreeing to keep the same offices for the next year. (Agreed or persuaded?)
Jean read the secretary’s report. Shirley made a motion to approve,  and Donna seconded the motion.
Karen gave treasurer’s report and it was approved.
Sharon won the fat quarters
We discussed selling tickets for the Christmas Quilt. We decided on price of tickets at $1 each or six for $5. The size of the quilt is 63×77. We will put it on display in a few months.
We received our fabric to start our Friendship Quilt. We have three colors and are making a Star Block of our choice for each member. The blocks are to be done by December to distribute to members. The members are then supposed to have them put together by May for the meeting with Crazy Quilters. This may be wishful thinking.
Diana showed a Hole In The Wall Quilt. This was a block we learned to make back in March. It was very nice.
Rosita had a quilt blocks for each of us to sign and she is setting those together in a quilt.
Our July meeting will be on the 10th instead of the 3rd. We will meet at Community Hospital-Fairfax at 7 p.m.
We have new things planned for the coming year . . . It will be another “learning year.”
