The 2018 Doug Summa Memorial 5K Fun Run/Walk was a huge success. Once again, over 50 participants took part in the event that raises funds for the Doug Summa Memorial Park on south 3rd Street in Tarkio, Missouri. It was also gorgeous weather for a June morning, making the run/walk even more enjoyable. Winners of the Kids’ Fun Run were: 1st – Olivia Pearce, 2nd – River Dow, and 3rd – Delana Scoggins. Winners of the 5K were: Overall Male – Chris Yates and Overall Female – Sarah Murray; Age 14 & below: 1st – Max Summa, 2nd – Caroline Powell, and 3rd – Tanner Maddox; Age 15-19: 1st – Cheyenne Gray; Age 20-29: 1st – Sarah Murray; Age 30-39: 1st – Amanda Powell, 2nd – Josh Maddox, and 3rd – Julie Range; Age 40-49: 1st – Chris Yates, 2nd – Jackie Martin, and 3rd – Doug Pearce; Age 50-59: 1st – Suzan Laur and 2nd – Barbara Nielson; Age 60-69: 1st – Ken Kemerling, 2nd – Dan Cox, and 3rd – Carla Summa; and Age 70+: 1st – Marsha Straub, 2nd – Dale O’Connell, and 3rd – Matt Straub.   (AC Mail photo)
