With the Fourth of July just around the corner, the Rock Port Tourism Board and Chamber of Commerce are looking for any club or organization that would like to set up a booth or host an activity at the park. If you are interested please call the Atchison County Mail at 660-744-6245.
Currently, the list of activities includes the following:
Sand Volleyball – If you would like to enter a team, the cost is $60 per team and you may call Holly Huntley at 660-253-0637. Start time will be 8 a.m.
Young vs. Old Softball – start at 4 p.m. This group is in need of one young and one old team and coaches. To sign up, call Sam Giddinge at 660-253-0789 or Lisa Farmer at 660-253-0562.
Baby Contest – The Beta Gals will be hosting the baby contest at the south shelter house.  Registration will be at  10 a.m. and contest starting at 10:30 a.m.
Rock Port City Pool – Open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. There will be games and a money dive from 1 – 4 p.m.
Bouncy Houses – The Rock Port Tourism Board is sponsoring the bouncy houses again this year in the City Park.
Carnival games – face painting from 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Live music – 6 – 9 p.m.
Firework will begin at dusk!
