Beef cattle producers are invited to attend an informational meeting for managing their operations through drought on Monday, July 9, in Quitman, Missouri.
Topics will include managing pastures through drought, extending hay supplies with supplemental feed, potential toxicity issues during drought and how to manage them, options for emergency annual forages, and strategies for effective destocking/culling decisions.
The program starts at 6:00 p.m. and will be offered at the Bluebird Crossing Event Hall, 806 Mulberry Street, Quitman. There is no cost to attend, and a light supper will be provided, but RSVPs are appreciated for the meal count.
