Gib Holmes’ produce stand is a landmark in Rock Port during the summer. It’s hard to resist stopping by for fresh produce and many people enjoy the vegetables and fruit for sale. Not only does Gib’s stand offer great produce, it also benefits the community. With proceeds from his sales, Gib donates to provide scholarships for students through the Watson Baptist Outreach program. The number given and monetary amount of the scholarships differ from year to year depending on his proceeds.
You can find Gib selling pies, fruits and vegetables at his stand at the corner of Main Street and Highway 136. Selection includes tomatoes, corn, cucumbers and more. He also sells fresh, homemade pies in a variety of flavors, including strawberry, rhubarb, blueberry, blackberry, apple and strawberry-rhubarb.
