A cake was shared by those in attendance on Sunday, July 1.

Sunday, July 1, was the Independence Day service at the Linden Church. The patriotic music that accompanied the worship service was celebrated as well. Donna Lucas, the church pianist, was tickling the ivories on a Baby Grand Piano. The piano was recently donated by Tim and Nancy Shipley of Maryville, Mo. Pastor Richard Boettner was instrumental in locating the piano, bringing it to the church, setting it up and tuning this beautiful Baby Grand. The former piano was in disrepair and could hardly be tuned anymore. The Sunday group had cake to celebrate this wonderful gift from Mr. and Mrs. Shipley.
