Fairfax FFA members Jaycee Graves, Gena Mitchell, and Jesse Graves attended Camp Rising Sun July 2-6, 2018.

Three members from the Fairfax FFA chapter attended FFA camp at Camp Rising Sun in Kaiser, Missouri, from July 2-6, 2018. They attended leadership trainings, workshops provided by State FFA officers and leaders in the agricultural industry, and instructional activities where they learned about archery, disking, and water skiing. Fairfax FFA members who attended were Jaycee Graves, Jesse Graves, and Gena Mitchell. All members who attended completed 13 of 15 activities needed to receive their state leadership medal. Jaycee was chosen as all-around camper for the Fairfax chapter. From the leadership trainings, they now have lots of ideas to bring back to their chapter for new activities and ways to gain more participation in chapter level activities.
