The Missouri 8-Man Football Coaches Association hosts a banquet annually honoring the players who received All-State honors for that season. The banquet for the 2017 season was held July 8, 2018, at St. Joseph Christian High School, and also honored players selected for the All-Star game that was played later that night at Missouri Western State University.
Five Rock Port High School players were honored at the banquet. Coach Dalton Jones presented the awards on behalf of the RPHS coaching staff. He noted during his presentation how special it was to him to be able to present the awards to the recent graduating seniors, because not only did he coach them this past season, but played with them when they were freshman and he himself was a senior. The evening was capped off with a great game, after which Jase Hughes was named Offensive MVP.
