“Jodie” Janie Josephine Wiley, 91, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018, at the Valley View Villa Care Center in Fort Morgan, Colorado.
She was born July 28, 1927, in Skidmore, Missouri, to Joseph and Guila (Ackley) Fletchall.
Janie married Alva Lee Wiley on August 31, 1945, in Troy, Kansas.
She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Fort Morgan and a member of the American Baptist Women. She was also a member of TOPS and the Silver Notes.
Janie enjoyed reading, crafts, sewing, quilting, crocheting, fishing, and music. She played several instruments and liked to sing.
Survivors include her children, Janie Hubbell (Glen) of Fort Morgan, Alva L. Wiley, Jr. (Sue) of Log Lane Village, Joe Wiley (Jeanie) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jerry Wiley (Ron Leikem) of Cathedral City, California, Joy Erickson (Paul) of Fort Morgan, Jack Wiley (Char) of Snyder, and John Wiley of Fort Morgan; sister, Guila Shell of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 28 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 29 great-great-grandchildren.
Janie was preceded in death by her husband Alva, daughter Jean Berlinguette, her parents, two sisters and two brothers.
Visitation was held Thursday, August 16, 2018, at the Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan. Memorial services were held Friday, August 17, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Fort Morgan. Inurnment will follow in Memory Gardens.
Memorial gifts may be given in Janie’s name to the First Baptist Church.
