The 5th annual Rock Port Tourism Board’s Quilt Show and Vendor Market was held Saturday, October 27, 2018, in the Rock Port High School Gyms. Along with beautiful quilts on display, there were vendor booths set up and demonstrations held throughout the day. A total of 77 quilts were on display at the event and 25 vendors had booths set up selling their wares. A total of 175 guests signed in to enjoy all, as well as lunch provided by Dusty Trail and the Enchilada Lady.
Winners of the quilt show included: Viewers choice/tie – Valerie Severs and Linda Hug; Hand pieced – (1st) Lynn LaBelle and (2nd) Irene Fisher; Machine pieced – (1st) Shirley Rader, (2nd) Sandy Wilmes, and (3rd) Carol Woerlan; Needlework quilts – (1st) Kathy Ungles, (2nd) Kathy Ungles, and (3rd) Paula Robbins; Needle work (not a quilt) – (1st) Beverly Holliday, and (2nd) and (3rd) Bonnie Haith; Table runners/wall hangings – (1st) Bonnie Haith, (2nd) Marion James, and (3rd) Bonnie Haith; Youth – RyAnne Herron; and Best of Show – Shirley Rader.
