The Northwest Missouri Regional Office of the Alzheimer’s Association will sponsor a Caring and Coping Alzheimer’s education class from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, at the First Baptist Church, 20432 U.S. Hwy. 59, Tarkio, Missouri.
The class will be provided at no cost for caregivers and family members of persons with Alzheimer’s disease or dementia. The program will focus on important caregiving topics including warning signs, diagnosis, disease progression and communication.
Alzheimer’s is a devastating disease that affects almost 10,000 people in Northwest Missouri. Alzheimer’s dramatically impacts not only the person diagnosed with the disease, but also caregivers and family members. Education materials and refreshments will be provided.
