The Community Hospital Auxiliary met Thursday, October 18, at 1:30 p.m. in the hospital conference room. The regular meeting followed the Auxiliary board meeting at 11:30 a.m. President Rose Munsey opened the meeting with 12 members present; reciting the Auxiliary Prayer. The minutes of the previous meeting and the treasurer’s report were read and approved as presented.

The gift shop committee announced that the Employee and Auxiliary Discount Days will be December 6, 7, and 10. An update was given on the use of our new credit card machine. All volunteers have been trained and we are happy to be able to provide this convenience for our patrons. It was reported that our booth at Winefest was well attended and successful. Marilyn A. thanked all the volunteers who assisted with our booth. The Volunteer Appreciation Tea that has traditionally been held in December will be moved to February.

The MAHA Convention will be at Tan-Tar-A Nov. 7 and 8. President Rose M. and our treasurer, Ann M., will be representing us.

We are looking forward to the upcoming dates and hope you will put them on your calendar and join us when you can:

• November 15, 2018, at 1:30 is our next meeting. It will be held in the hospital conference room.

• November 20, 2018, fall bake sale, 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. in the Hospital Conference Room.

• November 29, 2018, Christmas poinsettia sale, 6:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the hospital conference room.

All proceeds of Auxiliary bake sales, poinsettia sales, and gift shop sales benefit Community Hospital-Fairfax. We thank everyone for supporting us in our efforts to purchase new equipment for the hospital.
