The TEC Club met Tuesday, October 23, at Aunt Martha’s B&B in Fairfax, Missouri. The weather was beautiful and the trees were gorgeous, but we were short one member. Oh my, she had forgotten. So Margie O’Riley came to our rescue. The games started one hour late so we only played one set. The winner was Pam Cooper, second high was Debbie Johnson, and low was Martha Shaffer.
We did not shorten the dessert session. Martha was hostess and served a much-acclaimed pumpkin poke cake and for snacks she had pita crackers and dip, so we didn’t go home hungry. Jake, Martha’s new shelter rescue dog (a yorkie, we think), offered several growls while we ate, until Martha was forced to feed him, too. Then conversation turned to dogs, kids, weather, and reminders about the meeting next time in Rock Port at Debbie’s. It will be interesting to see how many of us show up at Martha’s to find Martha gone. Sometimes too many talk at once during our gab fest. In fact, I have forgotten the directions to Debbie’s house. I heard the words “golf club” so that will get me close and then I will be able to hear the laughter.
