Annamarie Hunziger of Oregon, Missouri, (right) was presented a Quilt of Valor made by Ruth Rother (left) of Mound City, Missouri, at a luncheon in Rother’s home. Hunziger is a United States Army Nurse veteran and served in the Vietnam War. She is also a past Chapter Regent of William White Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

Annamarie Hunziger, Oregon, Missouri, United States Army Nurse veteran, was presented a Quilt of Valor at a recent luncheon hosted at the home of Ruth Rother, Mound City, Past Chapter Regent, William White Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR). Hunziger served during the Vietnam War, and she, too, is a Past Chapter Regent of the William White Chapter, NSDAR.

Rother made Hunziger’s patriotic quilt and before presenting it, explained the historic quilt block patterns and their meanings.

Since 1950, the daughters of the William White Chapter have been dedicated community volunteers faithfully preserving history, promoting education and striving to honor and remember this nation’s patriots.
