Richard and Nancy (Zach) Ohrt of rural Hamburg, Iowa, will celebrate 60 years of marriage on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at the Lied Lodge in Nebraska City, Nebraska. The event will be hosted by the couple’s five daughters: Marcia Matt, Omaha, Nebraska; Cheryl Greiman, Des Moines, Iowa; Lynda Cruickshank, Dakota City, Nebraska; Sandra Jensen, Blair, Nebraska; and Diana Byrd, Blue Springs, Missouri. In addition to the five daughters, they have 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Richard Ohrt graduated in 1955 from Farragut High School and is the son of Carl and Mildred Ohrt. Nancy Zach was a 1957 graduate of Rock Port High School and is the daughter of Harold and Mary Zach. Both attended Iowa State University and lived near Huxley, Iowa, after they were married. After farming near Elsworth, Iowa, they returned to Southwest Iowa in 1967 to farm near Richard’s home place. They have been active members of St. John’s Lutheran Church near Westboro, Missouri, where they were married on November 26, 1958.
