Atchison County Chief Deputy Rick Sons was the guest speaker at the Tarkio Rotary Club’s meeting on December 18. He spoke of a new program that he has begun in the five county area. Chief Deputy Sons is a chaplain associated with the American Police Chaplains Association. After receiving a great deal of training, he is able to be a counseling resource for law enforcement and first responders in the five county area along with their families and to serve as a liaison with other clergy in the community.
