Eric Blaine Mulvania, 55, of Tarkio, Missouri, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Community Hospital-Fairfax, Fairfax, Missouri.

He was born on September 16, 1963, to Ralph and Gertrude (Tiemeyer) Mulvania. He was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church, Rock Port.

Eric was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, August and Myrtle Tiemeyer; paternal grandparents, Laurel and Estelle Mulvania; and mother-in-law, Diane (Wiley) Witty.

His education was in the Rock Port R-II School where he excelled in football, and graduated in 1982.

Eric began farming in 1985 and continued in partnership with his brother Shawn for 34 years in Atchison County. Eric loved farming, driving tractors, watching the Kansas City Chiefs and Mizzou Tigers. He was the Tomato King, and loved raising and eating tomatoes. Eric enjoyed long country drives, and his buddy George. He enjoyed spending time with family and visiting with his long time friends on the Missouri River bottom.

Eric began dating Carol (Nixon) Dufoe in 1998 and they were married on July 18, 2003. She survives of their Tarkio home. Additional survivors include his mother, Gertrude, Rock Port; brother, Shawn, Rock Port; stepsons, Nathan Dufoe, Pensacola, Florida, Daniel (Kaela) Dufoe, Galway, New York, Kaleb Pitts, Shenandoah, Iowa, and Tyler Pitts, Tarkio, Missouri; niece, Erin Mulvania, St. Joseph, Missouri; grandsons, Dayton and Carter; brothers-in-law, William Freeman, Tarkio, Missouri, Ken Freeman, Hamilton, Missouri, Gary (Elaine) Freeman, Maryville, Missouri, and Terry Freeman, Tarkio, Missouri; sister-in-law, Karen (Kevin) Franklin, Auburn, Nebraska; father-in-law, Raymond (Patricia) Nixon, Omaha, Nebraska; and Eric’s beloved cat, George.

Eric has been cremated under the direction of Chamberlain Funeral Home, Rock Port. A private family inurnment at Hunter Cemetery will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.chamberlainfuneral.com.
