2019 is off and running for students and staff at RPHS! We ended first semester on a very positive note with 57 students making the high honor roll and another 56 making the regular honor roll. Between the two honor designations, 74% of our students are accounted for! That’s incredible considering the rigor our teachers implement in their classrooms. Although still embargoed, the preliminary reports indicate Rock Port performed exceedingly well on standardized tests for the 2017-18 school year. Those scores in conjunction with other measures indicate Rock Port will also perform very well on the Annual Performance Report (APR).
Winter sports and activities at RPHS are in full swing. We will have several representatives at Four State Band and Choir this weekend at Maryville. Basketball and wrestling homecoming will occur this week – wrestling on Tuesday and basketball on Friday with the Winter Formal on Saturday night. Junior high scholar bowl has started their weekly January matches while their high school counterparts have started practice for their first competition in February. Our students continue to impress with their accomplishments in and out of the classroom.
Go Big Blue!
