On Tuesday, January 15, 2019, members of the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Office, the Tarkio Police Department, and the Buchanan County Drug Strike Force conducted a surveillance operation that ended in Wilcox, Missouri, with the successful apprehension of Brandon Ray Joyner.
Joyner was the subject of a narcotic investigation in Atchison County and he was known to frequent an apartment in Wilcox. Investigators had credible information that Joyner, a convicted felon, carried a black semi-auto handgun. During the arrest Joyner was found to be in possession of an air pistol that appeared to be a real firearm at first glance.
Joyner has been charged in Atchison County with distribution of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) in a protected location. His bond is $250,000.00. Additionally he was charged in Nodaway County with possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
