The Tarkio Police Department, with assistance from the Rock Port Police Department and the Nodaway County Sheriff’s Office, concluded a nearly month-long investigation with the execution of a search warrant issued by the Consolidated Circuit Court of Atchison County, Missouri, at 408 N. 8th Street, Tarkio, Missouri, the residence of Bryan Ben S. Clarke on January 23, 2019, at approximately 5:20 p.m. Following the execution of the search warrant, a probable cause statement was submitted to the Atchison County Prosecuting Attorney for possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance (meth) within 2,000’ of a protected location (school), possession of a controlled substance (meth), possession of drug paraphernalia (meth), possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana, and prohibited person in possession of firearm and/or ammunition.

Clarke was originally held following an investigation in Maryville, Nodaway County, Missouri, involving other parties and controlled substances criminal distribution violations. He was later transferred and held by the Atchison County Sheriff’s Office in lieu of a $250,000 bond. This investigation is ongoing. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
