Ruby Ballinger and Ernie Green were crowned Valentine’s Day Queen and King at Pleasant View Nursing Home.

Residents, their spouses and staff of Pleasant View Nursing Home started their Valentine’s Day celebration with the coronation of king and queen, chosen by penny votes. This year’s king and queen are Ernie Green and Ruby Ballinger.

Everyone enjoyed listening to Shawn Minter sing a few love songs. Residents also enjoyed visiting with Shawn and Jodee.

This year’s dinner menu was shrimp, baked potatoes, honey carrots, hot rolls and velvet salad, prepared and served by the dietary team.

Sandy Zach brought Bible study to the residents that afternoon. Her lesson was about the love we have for Jesus and the love He has for all of us. Sandy also made treats for all who attended Bible study.

Friends from the Rock Port United Methodist Church delivered Valentines for all the residents.

It was a special day for the residents at Pleasant View.
