Getting into the crafting mode are Tarkio Girl Scouts Graceyn Reeves, Leila Brooks, Emma Navin, helper Brianna Nelson, Caroline Powell, and Brynleigh Lopez.

Tarkio Girl Scout Troop 8296 made Valentine’s Day cards and delivered them to Tarkio Rehabilitation and Health Care residents.

Tarkio Girl Scout Troop 8296 participated in the county Christmas party and has stayed busy ever since.

Girl Scouts’ birthday, March 12, commemorates the day in 1912 when Juliette Gordon Low officially registered the organization’s first 18 girl members in Savannah, Georgia.

Girl Scout Week is celebrated each March, starting with Girl Scout Sunday and ending with Girl Scout Sabbath on a Saturday, and it always includes Girl Scouts’ birthday, March 12.

Tarkio Girl Scout Troop 8296 has been busy this year. They participated in the county Christmas party. They also made and hand delivered Valentine’s Day cards to the residents at Tarkio Rehabilitation Center. The girls have also been selling Girl Scout cookies and are wrapping up March with the annual Father Daughter Dance.
