Kindergarten screenings will take place Thursday, April 4, 2019, at Tarkio Elementary. Appointments can be made by calling the elementary office at 660-736-4177, prior to the screening date. If you have students who do not attend Honey Tree, Head Start or Kids’ Korner and you have not scheduled an appointment, please call the elementary school to do so. Parents are asked to bring a copy of their student’s birth certificate and Social Security card to the screening.

There will be a short meeting for the parents of 2019-2020 kindergarten students on Thursday, April 11, at 5:30 p.m., in the elementary library. The kindergarten handbook will be distributed and kindergarten procedures and expectations will be discussed.

The VIP Day will be on Tuesday, May 7. The future kindergarteners will arrive at 8:30 a.m., become familiar with the classroom and take a bus ride. Parents are invited to eat lunch with their children and following lunch, they may take their children home with them.
