The Tarkio High School band and choir students have been busy lately. Solos and small ensembles competed in District Contest Saturday, March 30. The following are results from that event (Outstanding is a II rating and Satisfactory is a III rating):

Vocal Solos – Gabby DeRosier, II; Grace Martin, III; Sophia Martin, III

SSA Sextet – Sophia Martin, Madison Driskell, Harley Caudill, Morgan Shaw, Anna Klute, and Dixie Hendrix, II

SSA Sextet – Bryli Staten, Autumn Murry, Skye Clark, Gabby DeRosier, Jae Barnett, and Grace Martin, II

SAB Mixed Sextet – Devin Guajardo, Seth Morey, Jimi Elder, Grace Martin, Bryli Staten, Jordan Heard, Gabby DeRosier, and Jae Barnett, II

The choir performed at a festival sponsored by Missouri  Western in St. Joseph on Tuesday, March 26, and has not received a rating yet. The band received an Outstanding (II) rating on Monday, April 1, 2019, at Platte County. The choir will also perform on Sunday, April 28, 2019, at the Worlds of Fun Music Festival.
