
Carol Cathleen Crabtree, the daughter of Donald Q. and Vera E. (Walker) Crabtree, was born August 26, 1954, in Elmo, Missouri. She attended West Nodaway High School, Burlington Junction, Missouri, graduating in 1972.
For a short time, Carol was a sales representative for Avon. Carol later moved to Independence, Missouri, where she worked in retail sales, retiring as a retail manager. While living there, she became a Royals and Chiefs fan. In early 2018, she moved to Rock Port, Missouri, to be close to her sister, Amy, and in June was employed at the Rock Port Nutrition Center. She was a good seamstress, enjoyed needlework, and liked animals.
Carol was a member of the First Christian Church, Burlington Junction. Carol passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 12, 2019, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 64.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by two siblings, Lois Baker and Monte Crabtree; and brother-in-law, Jerry Moore. Survivors include siblings, Paul Crabtree and wife, Bonnie, Maryville, Missouri, Elwin Crabtree, Grand Lake, Colorado, Marvin Crabtree and wife, Lynne, Peoria, Arizona, and Amy Moore, Rock Port; aunt, Donna Sallee; numerous nieces and nephews; cousins; and her cat, Domino.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 18, 2019, at First Christian Church, Burlington Junction, conducted by Pastor Terry Robison. Open visitation begins at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, at Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port.
