The East Atchison junior varsity and varsity baseball teams played Platte Valley Monday, April 8, 2019. It was a close scoring affair with the EA JV winning 2-1 and the EA varsity losing 3-2.

East Atchison JV’s Josh Smith allowed just three hits to Platte Valley while on the mound, striking out eight and walking none. The Wolves stole five bases during the game, including Bo Graves with two. A walk-off left the East Atchison varsity Wolves with the 3-2 loss. In the top of the fifth inning, East Atchison Wolves tied things up at two when Gage McAdams singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. He was also on the mound, allowing five hits and three runs while striking out four and walking zero. The game was tied at two when Platte Valley scored one run in the bottom of the eighth from a single.
