The Missouri Rural Water Association, DEA, Tarkio Board of Public Works, and Tarkio Police Department are joining forces to hold a prescription drug take back event Saturday, April 27. From 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on that day, unused or expired prescriptions may be dropped off at the Tarkio Police Department at 6th and Main streets (no questions asked).

The event helps prevent the drugs from entering and contaminating the water system by people flushing them. Once they are collected, the drugs will be disposed of by approved incineration methods.
