H. Barbara Albin, 90, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away Friday, April 19, 2019, at her home in Bolivar.

Barbara was born on September 1, 1928, in Downing, Missouri, to Lawrence and Macy Walker McCall. She graduated from Tarkio High School in 1946. She was married to Jimmie B. Linville of Rock Port, Missouri, in 1946. For most of her life, Barbara sought to serve the church as a secretary. Her natural character of love and service to others suited her well for the position. Her respect and consideration for others led to high respect for her in return. In June of 1998, she was united in marriage to Clyde Albin.

Barbara was also a very independent woman. She and her family would often confuse guests when they introduced them to dominos according to their own personal set of rules. These traits brought much joy to those who knew and loved her best. Barbara also enjoyed her time traveling as a military wife. She loved to learn about how other cultures lived and thrived.

She was also gifted with a very green thumb, and was well known for her beautiful flower garden. Along with those flowers, Barbara succeeded at growing a Christ-centered life and a happy home as an example for others to see and emulate. A gentle soul to the end, Barbara set an example that will continue to impact those who were blessed to know her.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Clyde, as well as her daughters: Wanda Cable and husband John, and Sandra Engelbrecht and husband John. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Christopher (Melody) Finn, and Ryan (Stephanie) Finn, as well as great-grandchildren: Natalie, Lauren, Gavin, Kaitlyn, and Madison.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Macy McCall, and her first husband, Jim Linville.

Services for Barbara Albin will be held Thursday, April 25, 2019, at 12:00 noon with a visitation to be held the hour prior at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar. Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 27, at 2:00 p.m. at Center Grove Cemetery near Westboro, Missouri.

Memorial contributions can be made in Barbara’s honor to the American Cancer Society in care of Butler Funeral Home, 407 E. Broadway, Bolivar, MO 65613.
