The Heartland Riders chapter of the Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) will be participating in CMA’s annual fundraising event, Run for the Son, on Saturday, May 4, 2019. CMA chapters all over the U.S. plan a 100 mile motorcycle ride for this event. Chapter members seek donations for this annual fundraiser. The monies raised support evangelism in the U.S. and around the world.

The motto of CMA is “Changing the World One Heart at a Time.” The Heartland Riders chapter, annually, with donations from chapter members, community members, and community organizations, put together and deliver around 40 Christmas food baskets to the elderly in Atchison County. The chapter participates in community events such as the Lord’s Acre Parade, the Tarkio Rodeo Parade and Car Show, Fairfax Fair Parade, Trunk or Treat at Tarkio Rehabilitation and Health Care, and Old Fashioned Saturday Night in Rock Port. They also do prison ministry, and conduct church services at Tarkio Rehabilitation and Health Care.

Members are from Atchison and Nodaway counties and Auburn, Nebraska. Chapter meetings are the second Saturday of each month at the Farmers State Bank in Tarkio.
