Mad Science is coming to your community in June and July. The county-wide program will be Walking on the Moon.

Walking on the Moon honors the 50th anniversary of American astronauts walking on the moon’s surface. The presentation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 11, at 10:30 a.m. at the Tarkio Elementary School gymnasium.  The program is designed to appeal to ages 6 – 12, but all ages are welcome. There will be door prizes.

Workshops, developed by NASA, will be held as follows:

TARKIO

Tuesday, June 18, at the Community Building

• 9:00 a.m. – Atmosphere and Beyond – age 6 – 8

• 10:15 a.m. – Rocket Science – age 9 -12

FAIRFAX

Tuesday, June 18, at the Community Room – Fire House

• 1:00 p.m. – Planets and Moons – age 6 – 8

• 2:15 p.m. – Rocket Science – age 9 – 12

ROCK PORT

Tuesday, July 9, at the Memorial Building

• 9:30 a.m. – Planets and Moons – age 6 – 8

• 10:45 a.m. – Rocket Science – age 9 – 12

Summer Reading at all libraries is scheduled for the last two weeks in June and the second and third week of July.  There will be no library activities the week of July 4.

Wednesdays: June 19 and 26, July 10 and 17

Thursdays, June 20 and 27, July 11 and 18

Two groups will meet on Wednesday morning – ages 3, 4 and 5, 6, and two groups will meet on Thursday – grades 1, 2 and grades 3,4.  All the details will be available at the libraries by May 20, 2019.
