Spring is here! The Northwest Missouri Regional Solid Waste Management District will sponsor two free composting workshops in May. The University of Missouri Extension will be teaching participants at both composting workshops how garden waste, grass, and leaves turn into nutrient rich compost.

The Albany workshop is scheduled for May 4, 2019, at the Hundley-Whaley Research Center, 1109 South Birch Street. The second workshop will be in Maryville on May 18, 2019, at the Maryville Community Center, 1407 North Country Club Road. Both workshops will be from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon.

The composting workshops are open to all residents of Atchison, Gentry, Holt, Nodaway and Worth Counties. There is no charge to participate.
