Easy, juvenile and young adult books nominated for awards, in 2019-2020, by the Missouri Association of School Librarians are on the shelf at your local library. Show Me nominees are a group of 10 picture books for the listening or reading pleasure of early elementary age children. The Mark Twain collection is comprised of 12 titles chosen especially for readers level 4 – 7.

The Harry Truman collection of 12 titles is chosen with readers from grade levels 6 – 8 in mind. The above mentioned titles are available for check-out at your library in Fairfax, Tarkio, or Rock Port.

A special group of 15 titles chosen for young adults grades 9 – 12 comprise the Gateway nominees. These titles will be available at Rock Port on May 20, and they are easily borrowed through any local library.

Local librarians hope parents, grandparents and caregivers will encourage their children to read and enjoy these books. Newbery and Caldecott award winners for 2019 are also on the shelves.
