Ethan Lucas earned All-State honors in Scholar Bowl competition.

The Rock Port Blue Jays traveled to Columbia to compete in the State Scholar Bowl Tournament on May 3. The morning consisted of pool play with the top four teams advancing to a single elimination tournament in the afternoon. Rock Port lost in the first round to Columbia Independent (2nd place) 350-200, rallied in the second match to defeat Summersville 240-130, and then fell to Exeter (1st place) 230 to 330 in round three,  missing the afternoon tournament. Points scored were Captain Ethan Lucas – 180, Ayden Wilroy – 60, and Josie Watkins – 50.

Ethan Lucas earned All-State honors answering an average of six questions per match.
