The Fairfax R-3 Spring Program was held May 7, 2019, in the high school gym.

The 5th grade band got the night going by performing “Marching Madness,” “Theme and Variations on Black Sheep,” and “Rock this Band,” all by Sound Innovations.

The 6th grade band played “Chant and Celebration” by Sandy Feldstein/John O’Riley and “This Old Dude” by Victor Lopez.

The 4th grade recorders performed “Rolling Along” (traditional), “Hot Cross Buns” (English), and “Oktoberfest Polka” by John Higgins.

The 5th/6th grade choir performed “Kazoos ‘N’ Shoes Blues” arranged by George L.O. Strid and “We’re All in this Together” arranged by John Higgins.

The K-3 Musical was “It’s a Hit!!” written by John Jacobson/John Higgins.

The junior high band played “All Star” arranged by Michael Story, “Raiders March” arranged by Paul Lavender, and “Baywood Overture” by James Swearingen.

The miscellaneous vocal ensemble of Katy Baker, Morgan O’Riley, Gena Mitchell, Jaelynn Hill, McKenzie Frohn, Shanna Gilpin, and Milana Shcherbakova performed.

The junior high choir performed “Tribute to Bon Jovi (Medley)” arranged by Mark Brymer and “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver/Fairfax Junior High Choir.

Braden Graves played a piano solo and Katy Baker performed a vocal solo.

The high school band performed “Fanfare and Flourishes” by James Curnow, “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” arranged by Michael Brown, “Hadrian’s Wall” by Robert W. Smith, “Adagio” by David R. Holsinger, “Jazz Police” arranged by Rob Grice/Jason Smith, and “Crazy Train” arranged by Michael Brown.
