The Tarkio High School FCCLA, FBLA, and FFA Chapters held their annual banquet Tuesday, May 14, 2019, in the THS Auditorium. Each chapter honored their members and then a reception followed. Honorees included:

Also, our THS chapter as a whole saw some success at the State level, receiving recognition and an award for March of Dimes, Connecting Chapters, and Main Street Missouri.

Business Achievement Awards – The Future level focuses on basic business skills, introducing them to community service, and emphasizing the importance of FBLA involvement. Members earning their Future Level this year are: Chloe Bruns, Catelyn Prater, and Bryli Staten. The Business level focuses on local, district, and state FBLA involvement, helps the members develop intermediate business skills, and highlights community leadership. Earning her Business Level this year is: Allison Yates.

Senior Jordyn Hogue was honored at the banquet for her devotion to FCCLA, attending conferences, participating in STAR events, helping with chapter activities, etc. She was an active senior member. Jordyn also received an award for earning the third highest points in FCCLA.

FFA Advisor Dustin Lambertsen, left, presented Garrett Meyer, right, with the David Joesting Scholarship. Garrett also accepted an Honorary FFA Chapter Degree, presented by the Tarkio FFA Chapter, to Nutrien Ag Solutions of Westboro, Missouri. Garrett accepted the degree on Nutrien Ag Solutions’ behalf for his father, Jeff, who works for the company. Tarkio FFA Student Advisor Kate Thornton was also presented with an Honorary FFA Chapter Degree, but she was unable to attend the banquet.
