The SW Iowa Shockers, based out of Shenandoah, are champions of a 12-team tournament called “Boys R Back in Town Tournament” on June 1 and 2, 2019, in Council Bluffs. Rock Port player Ozey Hurst and Tarkio player Alex Erickson are on the team.

On Saturday, June 1, the Shockerswent1-1ipool play and took the sixth seed into the championship bracket. On Sunday, June 2, they beat the No. 3 seed Norfolk, Nebraska, by a 12-10 score. In the semifinals, they took down No. 2 seed Ankeny 10-3, andthenbeatthetop-seeded Glenwood 6-0 to win the title with a great two-hit pitching and defensive performance.
