The Kansas City Renaissance Festival announces a free family event, Adventures in Wonderland, an Alice in Wonderland-themed carnival, to be held on the festival grounds in Bonner Springs, Kansas, July 27, 2019, from 2:00-6:00 p.m. This event features performances by Cloud Nine Aerial Acts and the Storybook Forest, costumed characters, games and costume contests. Activities include a Tea Cup Coloring Contest, White Rabbit Sack Race, Hedgehog Croquet, Bounce Houses, Tea Cup Toss, Magical Photo Ops, a chance to meet favorite characters and costume contests. Free bottled water will be provided, with concessions available to purchase for a modest fee.

Cloud Nine Aerial Acts offers aerial dance and fitness classes for kids and adults, teaching patience, commitment, and self-acceptance through the process of building strength, flexibility, and creativity. Their goal at their Lee’s Summit location is to make aerial practice accessible to everyone and to create an environment of friendship and acceptance. Their performance will showcase aerial dance skills, beauty and strength, and is sure to amaze audiences young and old alike.

The Storybook Forest in Overland Park, Kansas, brings the magic, story and wonder to children’s events and parties with a vast cast of characters, instilling magic in the hearts and minds of children. Their storytelling will enchant the whole family during Adventures in Wonderland.

Every year, the Kansas City Renaissance Festival offers a free event to bring a taste of festival fantasy to fans old and new. Enter Adventures in Wonderland at the Queen’s Gate entrance off 126th Street, through the Providence Amphitheatre Parking Lot. This event is rain or shine, and costumes are very welcomed, but not required.
