The benefit for Brie Kimpston was a huge success. Over 100 people attended. There was lots of good food, a plate for then, and some even had a plate to go.
Many thanks to Tammy and Tommy Gibson for organizing it (and their kids for helping them), all those who brought food, all who brought the silent auction items (an auction wasn’t planned, but folks brought stuff, so we had a silent auction), and all those who bought stuff. Special thanks to Wally Riebesell for furnishing the fish, and everyone who helped in any way, especially those guys who cooked out there in the heat. It was hot.
The Watson Quilters met Thursday night with Donna Whelan, Frances Nahkunst, Teresa and Jim Hickok, Anita Armstrong, Holly Holmes, Linda Viets, and Kay Gibson attending. We have a cancer quilt that we will start working on soon.
