The Peru State Bobcat football coaching staff hosted an Eight-Man Team Camp on July 11 and 12 with high school teams from Wausa, Cedar Bluffs, Stewartsville, Orrick, Stafford, Meridian, Weeping Water, Lourdes Central Catholic, East Atchison, and Brownell-Talbot participating. The two-day camp was to allow the teams to participate in a fully-padded camp with controlled contact scrimmages.
Those attending from East Atchison were: Ian Hedlund, Slade Rosenbohm, Connor Brown, Jake McEnaney, Gus Hurst, Briacin Bywater, Josh Smith, Bo Graves, Braden Graves, Ashton Yeary, Kaylin Merriweather, Jordan Goodin, Jarrett Spinnato, Tanner Rollins, Aaron Schlueter, Jesse Navin, Oliver Smith, Tony Skeen, and Trey Bowling.
A total of 150 high school players and many of their respective coaches participated in individual and group drills. Members of the Bobcat coaching staff provided the instruction and facilitated the team sessions. Peru State coaching assistant Lou Varley coordinated the camp. Assisting Varley with the instruction were assistant coaches DeOn’tae Pannell and Justin Hoffman and graduate assistants Jake Coughlin and Colton Audsley.
