Sharon R. Rosenbohm, the daughter of Arnold and Nina (Blackburn) Laumann, was born October 26, 1945, at Hand Community Hospital in Shenandoah, Iowa. Raised on a farm north of Rock Port, Missouri, Sharon attended Lone Cedar School until the sixth grade, then graduated from Rock Port High School in 1963. Sharon attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri, for three years, majoring in Elementary Education.

On April 22, 1965, Sharon was united in marriage to Dennis L. Rosenbohm at the Rock Port Church of Christ. They became the loving parents of three children: DeeAnn, Stephen and David.

As a young girl, Sharon attended St. John’s Lutheran Church, Westboro, Missouri. In 1965, she was baptized and became an active member of the Rock Port Church of Christ. Sharon loved to be active. She enjoyed being a Sunday school teacher, VBS director and a substitute teacher. She taught preschool in Rock Port and Mound City for many years. She loved helping children. Most recently Sharon was on the Board of the Back Pack Buddies program in Rock Port. She was also involved in “Women On A Mission,” 4-H Clubs, Rock Port Booster Club, Atchison County Fair Board, Social Hour Club, Women in Agriculture, the Food Pantry and the Rock Port Sorosis. She was a huge Rock Port Blue Jay fan and enjoyed attending games and seeing the kids dressed up for prom.

Sharon was an excellent hostess. She loved to entertain and host large holiday gatherings at her home. She enjoyed gardening, then canning and freezing her produce. She also loved decorating and raising flowers.

The majority of her life was centered on her family and the time they spent together. She made it a priority to attend all her kids’ and grandkids’ events – near or far. She was very proud of her grandchildren and regularly told them, “Remember, I love you more than to the moon and back!” She also believed in God’s Word and lived her life according to 2 Corinthians 9:6-8. She felt it was more blessed to give than to receive. Sharon passed away Sunday, July 28, 2019, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center, Shawnee Mission, Kansas, at the age of 73, surrounded by her family.
