Sam Harmon hosted a Yes You Canvas party Monday, July 29, for residents and friends at Pleasant View Nursing Home, Rock Port. There were 11 residents who were willing to let their artistic talents shine. The residents now have their original paintings hanging in their rooms. It was an enjoyable afternoon and before it was over, another party was being planned for the winter months.
Pleasant View has a new van, which was used for the first time Monday, August 5. Donna Perry, Alene Trueblood, Elaine Schwindt, and Brenda Shaw enjoyed shopping at Walmart and lunch at Pizza Hut in Shenandoah, Iowa. Other trips and country cruises are being planned.
August birthdays were celebrated Friday, August 9. Residents recognized were John Sierks, Ernie Green, and Alene Trueblood. Banana splits were enjoyed by all in attendance.
